The Anguis are my homage to the Predator movie character, minus the unhinging jaw. They camouflage, have claws, razor-sharp arm spikes, and fangs with venom that subdue their prey or potential mate. They're also ribbed for her pleasure with a little surprise ending that's guaranteed 'knot' to disappoint!
Stephanie's nickname is Mother, not only because she's the leader of a clandestine refugee settlement, but because she's literally the mother of the alien hybrids who rescued her and started the secret station on Kepler for people just like them.
Her hands are more than full when Mamba, an Anguis general, and his crew unexpectedly arrive at her secret station, fleeing the same aliens who'd abducted her. There’s something about his raw exotic masculinity that calls to her. He’s built like a god of war with camouflaging skin, spikes embedded in his forearms, and venomous fangs. Clearly Mamba is from a race of warriors. If that isn’t enough to set off alarm bells, the fact the Anguis Empire is still allied to her enemy should.
Despite her better judgment, Stephanie baits the overbearing general. Much to her surprise Mamba returns the volley and things escalate from there. With each taunt it becomes harder to tell if they are enemies or something more.
Somewhere between antagonizing each other and dancing around their emotions Stephanie falls in love Doing the Mamba.

Hope covered her ringing ears as she stared wide-eyed at the molten rock strafing across the sky. It got larger and brighter with the smoke trail parting the horizon. The sudden eruption of water out at sea was cataclysmic when the meteor struck. The wave of water that barreled toward San Francisco a moment later was small at first, then grew in size. Hope watched aghast as the water pushed aside massive buildings. She couldn't begin to fathom the level of devastation in front of her.
As if the tragedy she'd witnessed wasn't enough, something lurked in the trees outside her campsite. She watched as a portion of the tree separated from the trunk. The colors morphed into a bronzed, earthy tan figure of a man. The camouflaged man was at least seven foot tall with well-built legs and a massive broad chest. He swayed hypnotically as he walked with the sleekness of predator. His facial features were not human, yet not altogether frightening. He was an alien, a giant freaking alien, and he was abducting her!
Before the scourge of the universe struck, Viper never aspired to do more than rule his people, but his entire life had changed in the blink of an eye. The tragedy galvanized him with a single-minded purpose, to see to it he defended the Anguis and any other race unfortunate enough to cross paths with the plague, and wipe it from existence.
Finding his mate was the farthest thing from Viper’s mind as he attempted to rescue the humans off the doomed planet. With his own planet in turmoil over aiding so many other species and the universe at risk from the catastrophic plague, Viper never expected to find Hope.
Nothing, would get between Tara and her Big O.
Ophidian rescued Tara from the catastrophe on Earth, except her alien savior was downright terrifying. The Anguis general was massive, had venomous fangs, razor-sharp spines on his arms and followed her like a predator lurking in the shadows. But O quickly grew on her with his kind gestures and sexy swagger. Just as Tara realized she was falling in love and decided to not return to Earth, everything between them changed. She should’ve known better.
The Anguis mated on instinct - not for love.
Amare for Tara snuck up on Ophidian like a punch to the gut. It was his duty to guard the tiny human female, the physician that saved half the known universe ¬ not rut atop her like a mindless beast in heat. There was no way he could let his hormones takeover. O had witnessed just how badly humans responded to the aggressive Anguis bonding. He’d never hurt Tara that way, she meant too much to him.
It would take a trip across the universe and being repeatedly torn apart for Tara and Ophidian to finally find each other. But nothing, would get between Tara and her Big O.
You learned how Boaz was captured and imprisoned in a clandestine government facility on Earth at the end of Tara's Big O, Anguis Defenders 2.
You read how Laney and Boaz helped the main characters Vintor and Maya escape that terrible prison in Warrior's Plight, Cadi Warriors 6.
Now, discover how Laney and Boaz fall in love and follow them on the tumultuous journey home.
Laney regrets blindly taking this job. She had no clue she’d be interpreting for prisoners, let alone aliens, or she would’ve run the other way. The alien is massive, with camouflaging skin and razor-sharp barbs lining his muscular forearms - a true predator. How could she communicate with him when she was too terrified to be in the same room? Yet something about him drew her in.
Boaz came to Earth to return rescued humans. They thanked him by imprisoning and experimenting on him. He refused to cooperate but then a frightened human female crept into both his hardened hearts, unleashing a love and desire he never expected.

Left for dead in a clandestine Earth prison, Pyth felt utterly abandoned. His hatred for humans is the only thing keeping him alive, though just barely. He seizes the opportunity to break free and finally get revenge. Escaping Earth is another story. Injured, with nowhere to go, Pyth is forced to take refuge in a bubbly human child’s playhouse. Except, where there are children, there’s also adults.
Victoria needs a superhero. Being a single mom, with a psycho ex-husband, while running her family farm, is exhausting on a good day. The camouflaged alien she discovers hiding in the backyard isn’t exactly who she had in mind. She’s terrified by the savage alien’s claws and razor-sharp spikes protruding through his skin, that rattles like an enraged cobra. Not to mention other daunting body parts. If it weren’t for her daughter’s plea to help him, she’d instantly call the authorities.
Forsaken, battered and bruised, trust doesn’t come easy for Pyth or Victoria, but love and desire have a funny way of overcoming a universe of differences and healing a world of hurts.
